The Bald Rock National Park is accessible all year around unless there was an excessive downpour - check conditions before you set off on your 4WD excursion. Bald Rock National Park and the Boonoo Boonoo Falls are the major regional attraction and accessible from Tenterfield. The Boonoo Boonoo River winds its way through spectacular granite outcrops and eventually plunges over 200meters down into the valley below. You will find that the 4WD access roads are easily navigated and there is a few interesting 4WD turnoffs to explore in the area.

Prepare to discover some of the excellent hiking trails, bring your boots and sunscreen. Bald Rock NP has camping facilities but Boonoo Boonoo Falls offers no camping, only BBQ and picnic facilities. Don't miss out on hiking to the top of Bald Rock - it is an effort but well worth the view. There is plenty of other hiking trails to explore in between your 4WD trips.
